Unlike many a self-proclaimed expert, this author learned his trade in the front line of criminal investigation with the FBI. This gives him credibility in my view. It's a decent introduction to the world of body language and the author knows its limitations which is a very honest statement in a book like this. It's also great fun to try out some of the tips. A good purchase.

I bought the book to give myself a better insight into body language to help me at work and it has been a most enlightening book. I found its common sense approach very helpful, it was easy to read and written in a no nonsense way.

This is by far one of the worst 'books' it has ever been my misfortune to purchase.
Everything in this book is what a child would know. It merely shows the lack of intelligence the average American has if they think think there is anything new in this book.
Complete waste of money. Do not buy.

I've been reading many books about the subject. This one ain't nothing special. You won't find here any truth that you can't find somewhere else. Moreover, there are several things I really disagree with, but that's just my point.
The first chapter is actually very boring. It made me seriously doubt about the level of the book but fortunately I've kept reading and, starting from chapter two, the things go better as he starts describing the different postures.
Not that good. Not that bad.

I brought this book wishing to learn how to understand body language and develop my skills. It's a really good book for all purposes from business to friends. Navarro's style of writing is easy to follow and engaging with real life examples. I also found the pictures used throughout the book were very helpful in making a behavior memorable so I can look out for it as I go about my day-day life. Even though Navarro's book can be a nice specfic read of body language, you must be really dedicated to apply the knowledge from the book to real life as it takes a lot of time and patience.
